Project Palaka

First Ex-Situ Amphibian Conservation in the Philippines

Founded in 2015, Project Palaka is the first ex-situ amphibian conservation project in the Philippines.  Currently we are working to conserve Platymantis insulatus (The Gigantes Wrinkled Ground Frog). This species is the only amphibian species in the Philippines that has been designated as Critically-Endangered by the IUCN.
